Kathrein Privatbank receives award from Stiftung Warentest for sustainable equity fund

  • Kathrein Sustainable Global Equity achieves top placement in Stiftung Warentest ranking
  • Actively managed funds stand out due to particularly strict compliance with sustainability criteria
Stiftung Warentest evaluated globally investing equity funds with regard to sustainability and investment success for the September issue of Finanztest. Only 99 funds made it to the finals. The Kathrein Sustainable Global Equity achieved a ranking in the 1st quartile in the sustainability evaluation and in the investment performance and is thus one of the top funds. As an actively managed fund, it offers an attractive opportunity to invest in the global equity market while applying particularly strict criteria with regard to sustainability. Social and environmental exclusion criteria in accordance with the requirements of the Austrian Eco-label for sustainable financial products are used to select the individual stocks in the fund. Only the companies with the best ESG ratings ─ Best in Class ─ are included in the investment universe. "The award from Stiftung Warentest confirms our active management approach, which is based on various, very strict criteria that are monitored by independent bodies," says Harald Holzer, Chief Investment Officer and member of the board of Kathrein Privatbank.

Independent ratings guarantee sustainability

The verification of sustainable investment funds by independent third parties is an essential factor in guaranteeing the sustainability of an investment. The associated sustainability certification expresses the consistent exclusion of ethically and ecologically questionable areas. The Kathrein Sustainable Global Equity Fund is certified with the Austrian Eco-label for sustainable financial products and the FNG seal. The carbon footprint is published on the Your-SRI platform.
Stefan Neubauer, member of the board of Kathrein Privatbank: "We at Kathrein Privatbank have been investing according to sustainable criteria for 10 years and have built up comprehensive expertise in this topic. We are very pleased to receive awards such as those from Stiftung Warentest, as they highlight our rigorous and transparent approach to sustainability."
